Music & Audio Guidelines for Brand Campaign Content
When creating brand campaign content, you should ensure that you have all rights, licenses, consents and releases necessary for all content you post, including those from third party’s whose likeness, music, or other intellectual property you include in your content. You should ensure that your content does not infringe, misappropriate or violate a third party's intellectual property rights. You should also ensure that your content complies with the requirements of the platforms to which you publish.
If you are featuring music in your campaign content, you should have the appropriate rights to use the music or audio so that you are not infringing on others’ copyrights! In addition, since you are using the content for commercial purposes, such as promoting or advertising products or brands, the license should be for commercial use not personal use. Don’t assume that just because the music is “royalty-free” that you can use it for commercial use.
Platforms may have specific guidelines and requirements for posting content and often those guidelines are unique to each platform. Do not pull music from one platform and use it on another platform. Platforms negotiate licenses that are specific to their platform. It’s important you know and understand the specific features of the platforms on which you post content.

- For Facebook or Instagram posts, use music/audio from Facebook’s Sound Collection.
You can also find more information here. - For TikTok posts, use music/audio from TikTok’s Commercial Music Library. When using music/audio on TikTok, refer to their Branded Content Resources.
- For Youtube posts, use music/audio from YouTube’s Creator Music.
- When you post sponsored campaign content to the LTK platform, do not include music or any unlicensed material in the content. We are exploring ways to make music available to you in the future.
For all other platforms, understand and follow the specific requirements for that platform. If there are not platform requirements or guidelines for music use, you should independently obtain the necessary music licensing rights to use the music.
While LTK cannot provide legal guidance to you or specific advice about whether certain music or audio is okay to use, these guidelines should help you understand more about appropriate commercial rights needed. Consult a qualified lawyer if you have questions. If you have any doubts about whether the music or audio you are considering is licensed for commercial use, don’t use it! LTK is not responsible for issues that arise from your use of unlicensed music and/or audio.
